The foliage of this ground cover is glossy green, turning wine-red in the winter. White flowers bloom in the summer.

Soil Type: Sandy or loam
pH Range: 3.7 to 7.0

Suggested uses for this plant include ground cover.

Planting Notes:

Plant 15 to 18 inches apart, in well- drained, acid soil, in full sun.

Care:

Little or no maintenance required.

Problems:

No serious problems.

Related species:

POTENTILLA TRIDENTATA (Wineleaf Cinquefoil) is a native of eastern North America and forms a solid mass of foliage.

Comments:

This herbaceous perennial is an excellent ground cover for small areas.
It does not form a dense mat of growth like the Wineleaf Cinquefoil.
