kinds of free publications, lesson plans, and other information
and ideas here at your fingertips. There are nine categories listed
down the left side of this page for you to click on. Read below
for a description of each category.
- On-line
4-H Publications will take you to a list of links
to 4-H horticulture and gardening publications that are free
for printing from the web.
- More
On-line Lesson Plans will take you to links to all
kinds of non 4-H lesson plans and activities for youth gardening
available on-line
- Interactive
Web Sites for Youth connects you to some neat horticulture
web sites specifically for youth to work on at their computers.
- National
4-H Links gives you quick access to some of the best
4-H web sites available, including publication reviews and links
to the home page for each state.
- Books and Videos
shares information on books and videos available on the topic
of youth horticulture and gardening or that would be good resources
to use when working with youth.
- Finding Grant
Money has lists of: grants for youth or community
gardening, other grants for youth programs, and helpful hints
and instructions for writing a grant.
- School
and Community Gardens links to web sites giving advice
and instructions on starting these types of programs.
- Children
with Special Needs provides links to pages with information
on working with children with special needs, and some adaptations
for making gardening accessible to everyone.

More About Horticulture Before You Teach links to
handy web sites for answering basic gardening/horticulture questions
of all types. Most of the sites linked here have lists of free
publications. Viewers simply scan the titles for topics of interest.
