Each Extension unit may nominate three (3) adult volunteer leaders for consideration as honorary members of the Virginia Chapter of 4-H All Stars. Nominees must have rendered outstanding service to the 4-H program over a period of not less than seven (7) years. The selected nominees attend the State 4-H Congress following recommendation to be received into membership.

PROCEDURE FOR MAKING NOMINATIONS

1. The unit membership committee completes nomination form on all eligible leaders.
2. The unit membership committee selects up to three most deserving leaders from the unit.
3. Extension agent and three (3) All Stars sign the form of the leaders selected for nomination. In the absence of 4-H All Star signatures, the Extension agent must attach to the recommendation a signed statement explaining the absence of such signatures.
4. Unit nominations are to be submitted to the district membership committee before December 1.
5. Nominees or nominations not accepted or tapped must be resubmitted next year for consideration.
