Andrew Sides, Vice President
Hello Virginia 4-H! My name is Andrew Sides and I reside in Madison County, Virginia. I have spent 10 years in 4-H participating in livestock and shooting sports programs. I also joined the Virginia Chapter of 4-H All Stars this year. I am currently a student at Piedmont Virginia Community College. As Vice President of the Virginia 4-H Cabinet I plan to work hard to "make the best better". I have high hopes for great things in 4-H this year. Specifically, I want to increase the participation of teenage youth in the 4-H program. The answers to many of the problems of this generation are found in the leadership building traditions of 4-H. I believe that we can give this generation a means to make a better world, one community at a time. Please email me at xeverytime@yahoo.com if you have any ideas or comments about 4-H. God Bless! Jeremiah 29:11

Jordan Watson, Northeast District Ambassador
Hey, my name is Jordan and I have been in 4-H for seven years. Throughout my years I have learned many things like ecology, biology, diligence, how to control certain situations (leadership skills), information about our wetlands, the importance of volunteers in our society, how to spell POTATO, and that, no matter what your idea is, you shouldn't be afraid to state it. I have used 4-H and its opportunities to better myself so I could hopefully pass on this information throughout the many activities in 4-H. If anybody ever feels the need to email me, my email is YooVeeAyee@yahoo.com.
John Crowder, Northeast District Ambassador
Hello, I am John Crowder. I am the Northeast District Ambassador. The reason I decided to become an ambassador was to practice a role of leadership. I plan to get more agents to push Congress and 4-H in their county and to get more people to go to Congress in 2002 and make it even more of a blast. I live in Mechanicsville, Virginia. I have been in 4-H for 4 years and am presently the treasurer for Boots-n-Buckles 4-H club. I am 15 and I wrestle and play football for Lee-Davis High School. I work at Philbatežs Auto Wrecking, Crowderžs Nursery and West Point Pharmacy.
Derrick Spangler, Southwest District Ambassador
Hi, I am Derrick Spangler from Floyd County, representing the Southwest District as Ambassador. I grew up in Floyd on a family owned dairy farm, Meadow Run Dairy. My mother, Vickie Spangler, my aunt, Penny Webster, and my grandmother, Alma Lou Manning are all VA 4-H All Stars. Using those resources I have shown cattle and sheep. I then assisted in putting together the Floyd County Livestock Club to get more people interested in 4-H through an agricultural standpoint. After getting to know my county agent I went to State 4-H Congress where I gave demonstrations for the first two years. Congress was full of great fun and great opportunities. I met Don Bakely the first year. He was on the 4-H Cabinet and he told about activities that he was involved in through the cabinet. The following year I got to know some of the Cabinet and then in 2000 I ran for my first time for SW District Ambassador. So, from those opportunities I have been to National 4-H Congress and have been tapped into VA 4-H All Stars, both in 1999. This year I will go to all counties in Southwest VA and speak on behalf of the State Cabinet. Hopefully I will have an impact on other teens' lives. Thank you!
Kara Perkins, Southwest District Ambassador
Hi! I'm Kara Perkins, your Southwest District Ambassador. Although I am a freshman at Virginia Tech, my home is Bland County - the land between the tunnels. I am a graduate of Rocky Gap High School and have been very involved in school and community activities for as long as I can remember. While serving my first year on the Cabinet I am looking forward to an exciting and successful year.
Kim Sager, Northern District Ambassador
Hello! My name is Kim Sager and I am a Northern District 4-H Ambassador. I am 15 years old and am a sophomore this year. I am so excited about being on the State Cabinet. I enjoy shooting sports, collecting anything with rabbits, playing on my computer, and participating in my high school marching band as a bass drummer. I have so many hopes and dreams for the upcoming year. I want to have a great experience on State Cabinet and I look forward to the 4-H Centennial!
