Training is an important part of any CHARACTER COUNTS! program effort. Adults must understand their role in these efforts and also must understand the curriculum and the importance of the use of the "common language" of the six pillars.
Training resources are being compiled that may be of use to your training efforts.
To help counties better address their training needs, Teaching Teams per Extension district have been selected and trained. Each team consists of Extension, School and Volunteer professionals. Each team member has participated in a three-day Train-the-Trainer CHARACTER COUNTS! seminar. There are Nationally Certified CHARACTER COUNTS! Trainers among Virginia 4-H Extension Professionals.
