The Virginia Visit

Costa Rica youth were impressed by the extent of natural regeneration on Appalachian hardwood sites, particularly when compared to their mountain rain forest sites.

Franciny Delgado (seated) celebrated her 14th birthday while staying with a host family in Loudoun County, Virginia. Host sisters Rosemary Martin (left) and Britta Bielak share in the celebration. Costa Rica youth stayed with their host family for 10 days following State 4-H Congress. Virginia 4-H members will stay with their Costa Rican host brothers and sisters while they are in Costa Rica.
