Natural Resources and Environmental Education

The Virginia 4-H Natural Resources and Environmental Education (NREE) curriculum area includes six major components:

GPS/GIS
Wildlife
Forestry
Fishing
Shooting Education
Outdoor Adventure
Environmental Education
Youth Conservation Camp
Conservation Pieces Newsletter
Envirothon
Clean Water for the Frog
Master Naturalist

Programs in each of these six component areas are managed by a sub-committee under the coordinating efforts of the overall EENR curriculum committee. Typically, the sub-committees and their internal working groups provide volunteer training sessions, operate specialty camps, develop curriculum materials, conduct contests, sponsor workshops and field days, and provide other nuts-and-bolts program leadership.
