Envirothon program looking for coaches, judges and support

Envirothon is a natural resources competition for high school students. The program is sponsored by local Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCD's) and involves hands-on learning and problem solving. Virginia's 47 SWCD's work with local high schools and clubs to form teams and organize local contests. If you'd like to help by being a coach, serving as a local resource, judging presentations or even helping with lunch or snacks, we could use your help. Local SWCD's who are new to the program especially need help from resource people who can work with individual teams as a resource for soils, water quality, watersheds, wildlife and forestry. If you think you'd like to get involved, contact your local SWCD and offer your help.
