The Augusta/Nelson County 4-H Wildlife Judging Team won the State 4-H Wildlife Judging Contest held April 2, 2005, at the Ivy Creek Natural Area near Charlottesville, earning the right to represent Virginia at the national 4-H contest to be held at C.A. Vines Arkansas 4-H Center, August 3-7. Youth competed in wildlife food identification, aerial photo interpretation, made wildlife management prescriptions, and develop both urban and wildlife management plans for featured species. First Place Junior Team honors go to Montgomery County.
