Animal Sciences State Level Competitions
Several state level competitions have been recently held for 4-Hers involved with projects in the Animal Sciences. Many of these were a part of 4-H Congress, but a few occurred separately. Below are shown the various categories of competition, the number of participants, and the winners.

Thus far a total of 411 members have participated in state level 4-H contests in the Animal Sciences area during 1997. Still to be held are the State Dairy Cattle Judging Contest in Harrisonburg, the State 4-H Horse Show, State 4-H Dog Show, State Junior Dairymen's Contest, and State Junior Stockmen's Contest, all of which occur at the State Fair in Richmond.
