Summer Employment Application - MS WordJamestown 4-H Educational Center employs qualified, trained, caring staff to work in our outdoor education program as instructors for environmental education, summer counselors and support staff. Teaching staff and some support staff receive a salary along with room and board in semi-private quarters. Summer teaching staff must be 18 or older and must be available mid May through August. Staff will participate in a state wide 4-H Camp training and on-site training prior to the camping season. Internships are available in the spring and summer to work under the Program Director. All staff should possess good communication skills and enjoy working with youth.
Note regarding all positions: Salary is based on qualifications and experience. Room and board are provided for the duration of your employment for counselors. Housing at the 4-H Center is a privilege. All staff are expected to follow the 4-H Center policies and guidelines while occupying the housing. Staff are needed from Mid- May to Mid-August, usually the length of the college summer break.
