The Ronald McDonald House Natural Resource Building
The latest addition to the 4-H Center is the Natural Resource building. This new structure is an enhancement to the Programming Department, particularly to the Outdoor Education Program. It provides an exclusive place for classes to be held when weather or practicality puts limits on learning outside. Along with the building, new materials were purchased, including; microscopes, track moulds, animal skull replicas, activity books, instructional guides, and more.
Funding for all of this was generously provided by the Ronald McDonald House Charities Foundation. The building was finished in the fall of 2006, and will first be used in the upcoming Outdoor Education season in the spring of 2007. Undoubtedly, it will prove to be a much-needed asset to youth programming.
