Programs

Our Program Department is here to serve groups of all ages and interests. Our youth programs serve children as young as 5 years old, while our adult programs serve "youth" much older! We design and offer programs spanning in length from a half day to a week. Our Program Department hires and trains only top-notch staff with experience and training in a related area. Please review the information below to learn more about our program offerings.
Junior 4-H Camp is our residential summer camp program available to youth ages 9-18. Sessions typically last for one week; however, this may vary depending on the specific group being served.
4-H Adventures is our off-site adventure program designed to introduce participants to outdoor adventure activiites available throughout our region. Programs include day-trips to local outdoor recreational sites as well as weeklong adventures throughout the Blue Ridge Mountains!Specialty Camps are typically weekend programs based on a specific theme and designed for specific age groups. Outdoor Education programs primarily serve public, private, and home school groups in our region and beyond. Our curriculum is guaranteed to supplement classroom curriculum and is designed to assist teachers with Virginia Standards of Learning!
Teambuilding programs are available for groups of all ages and backgrounds. Corporate groups, university clubs or athletic teams, civic clubs, are just a few of the groups for which we have provided successful and effective teambuilding programs.
Adult Education programs take place throughout the year with two (2) major areas of emphasis...Elderhostel programs and Adult Education courses. Elderhostel courses are weeklong educational courses on a variety of topics (see schedule). Participants come from all over country to participate! Adult Education courses are ongoing courses that meet the needs of adults in our community (and beyond). Topics may include courses on computers, painting, drawing, writing, antiquing, music instrument building, cooking, and more!
