Youth Programs
The mission of the Southwest 4-H Educational Center is to provide a fun, experiential learning program at a low cost for 4-H youth ages 9-19 in Southwest Virginia's 13 constituent counties. Our camps, workshops, and seminars feature hands-on education and training in life skills enhancement, natural resource conservation and citizenship. A priority of the Southwest 4-H Educational Center is to develop today's youth for the world of tomorrow.
Activities such as swimming, rapelling, horsemanship and nature study are not only fun but also help develop interpersonal skills, leadership and independence. Yesterday's campers are now found in a variety of careers and often praise the skill development, character building and personal encouragement they received in the 4-H camping program.
We reach youth through a variety of camping and non-camping programs. Please follow the links below to explore each program type and to download registration information.
