I’m Cody Weddle and I’m from the small town of Meadowview in Washington County, Virginia; which is in the Southwest District. I am a senior at Patrick Henry High School in Emory, Va. I began my 4-H experience when I was 8 years old as a “Cloverbud”. I continued my 4-H endeavors by being a member of my school club. So as a member of my school club I participated in various activities and competitions including the public speaking competition and community service projects. To this day I am still an avid 4-Her. In total I have been involved in 4-H for approximately 8 years. My decision to run for the 2007-2008 Cabinet came after hearing the many tales from my friends who had been on Cabinet in the past. I also liked the idea of being a “Voice” for the Southwest District on Cabinet. My goal this year as a SWD Ambassador is to adequately represent the views and opinions of the SWD on the Cabinet. This year on Cabinet I hope to become more acquainted with the members of Cabinet and the delegates of the Southwest District. I encourage anyone who is interested in Cabinet to pursue that interest. I am confident that Cabinet will be a great experience for me and for anyone who is interested. I invite delegates form the SWD to contact me and inform me of their interests concerning the 4-H Cabinet. |
