My name is Marcus Thomas. I am 17 years old and I am from Surry County. This year I am serving as Southeast District Ambassador. I have been in 4-H for 8 years including this one. As a 4-H member I have participated in numerous events such as: District Competitions, State Fairs, my unit’s teen club as well as many other activities. As a result of this, I was tapped as a 4-H All Star and selected to attend National 4-H congress in Atlanta, Georgia this year. This will be my first year on Cabinet. I ran for Cabinet because I felt that I could contribute and help my district in a way that no one else could. My goal as Southeast District Ambassador this year is to increase membership and participation in our numerous 4-H events. I hope to learn new leadership skills and ways to help others. Virginia 4-H State Cabinet will give you the experience of a life time. You get to contribute to something important and have fun at the same time.
