Hi! My name is Sarah Mullins. I am from Washington County in the Southwest District of Virginia. I have bee in 4-H for about 12 years. I started being in 4-H as a “Cloverbud” when I was five years old. I became a member of my school club and later worked as an “Independent 4-Her” for a year. At that time my school started another 4-H Club of which I became a member. I have competed in the Youth Fair Committee, the Mini Garden Program and Presentations for several years. I competed at the local, district, and state level in Presentations where I won at all levels. I placed first at the state competition in 2005. I have participated in numerous activities in my county such as help or teach Summer Fun classes and being a Camp Counselor. I served on the SWD Council as a teen advisor to the Council. I attended the National Curriculum Summit this summer as a youth delegate for the state of Virginia. I will also be participating at the National4-H Congress in Atlanta in November.  This year will be my second year on the Virginia State 4-H Cabinet. Last year I served as Southwest District Ambassador and Acting Secretary. My goal for the following year is to reach across the state and be there for any 4-Her. I hope to increase my leadership ability during my time on Cabinet. I want everyone to realize that 4-H is fun and what 4-H has to offer everyone. Personally everyone should take the time out and run for 4-H Cabinet, because it is a great experience to meet new people, develop leadership, and teamwork skills.
