Four-H Center Scheduling and Registration

The following excerpts are from the Water Wizard Van Operations Manual. For complete text and additional information, please refer to the manual. It is available at any of Virginia's six 4-H Educational Centers.

Each 4-H Center will receive the van on a two-month rotation except during the summer camping months. The schedule has been designed to minimize cross-state travel and facilitate van transfer between Centers. Centers have the flexibility to trade residence periods, especially when the Centers are in close proximity to each other. Once in possession of the van, each Center has full authority over the use of the van, including:

  • managing programs on the Center grounds,
  • using the van for off-Center programs sponsored by the Center, and
  • releasing the van to off-Center users.

The 4-H Center schedule will be as follows.

MONTH 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010
Jan/Feb SW SK HL NOVA JT AF
Mar/Apr NOVA HL NOVA JT AF SW
May/June HL NOVA JT AF SW SK
July/Aug SK JT AF SW SK HL
Sept/Oct JT AF SW SK HL NOVA
Nov/Dec AF SW SK HL NOVA JT

Each Center is responsible for making arrangements to transfer the van to the next scheduled Center at the end of their residence period.
