AREAS OF MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY

  • Provide for the leadership for the development and delivery of 4-H educational programs that meet the needs of Virginia's youth between the ages of 5-18;
  • Provide statewide leadership for the Virginia 4-H program in 107 counties and cities, and Virginia's six 4-H educational centers;
  • Provide leadership for the educational needs of the 4-H youth programming which involves over 181,000 youth, as well as for the staff development of both salaried and volunteer staffs throughout the Commonweath;
  • Provide leadership to the systematic evaluation of 4-H programs, provide administrative leadership with 4-H partners and faculty of both Virginia Tech and Virginia State universities.
